A Letter From Us, To You

From Rob:

Hello, and welcome to the official Threshold web site;

As you may know, this is a new site that is still under construction. This construction however, will never be truly complete because we plan to continue adding as much good stuff as we possibly can.

Our new album "...As of Yet Untitled" will soon be completed. Once again we have passed beyond the boundaries of conventional music. I hope you have the opportunity to listen to it because I think it will give you a good impression of what we are about. The songs reflect our many interests, as well as the influences that we have exposed ourselves to. I also feel that the album shows the diverse personality of Threshold and its members. The music and the lyrics are both interesting and emotionally provoking. They can be examined and enjoyed on many levels, and as you may discover, some (not all) of the lyrics have thoughtful meanings. Your interpretations are likely to be different from ours, but that’s what helps each of us to relate to songs in our own way. Remember, if the music makes you "think and feel", then at least its not boring.

So thanks for checking us out, and hope you return.

Rob Auerbach

'As Of Yet Untitled' is not even out yet and we are getting ready to mix our first Christmas album. Stay tuned for rmore.

From John:

What to say?, well lets start with hello and welcome cats and kittens. I know its about time we got on board with this web stuff so here we are. As you may have guessed, theres a little jazz to my writing style not unlike elements of my bass style as well. I think I can speak for all three of us when I say that when a particular piece is written no style really comes to mind, its more a feel or the moment that shapes and inspires each of our parts. It would not be uncommon for Randy to write say an operetic part (as he does), with me playing a distinctly jazzy line while Rob keeps it all together (or apart which can be just as good) with some uncatagorizable basterized back beat thingy. Whatever, unless you have a sample of Threshold for yourself, you'll just not quite know what I mean. Soon you will be able to down load some Threshold sound bits for yourself. Look for my email address if you have any questions or comments. Chao for now. John or boomy or Pip, whatever!
